Strukton Rail has replaced the 10 kV medium-voltage installation for the Aruba power station with a 12.6 kV installation.

Work
The installation was erected and handed over by us on a turnkey basis. In addition, Strukton Rail designed and supplied a control and protection system, whilst we also undertook the disassembly and assembly work for the existing switching station.

Conditions
The work had to be carried out whilst the power station remained fully in operation. If the power station had been shut down, the entire island would have quickly been completely without water and electricity.
