Strukton Rail has done engineering and constructed track on the Sliedrecht-Gorinchem section along the Betuwe Route. The construction of the Betuwe Rout was the largest infrastructure project in the Netherlands, which in terms of scale can only be compared with the Deltawerken project. From 2007 onwards, the Betuwe route will carry freight traffic between the port of Rotterdam and the German hinterland.

Activities
For the Sliedrecht – Gorinchem section, Strukton Rail carried out the following work:
• Engineering
Design & Construct for track and rail work, structures, foundation for catenary gantries and noise abatement screens.
• Rail work
Laying of approx. 22,000 m complete track including various points.
