Strukton Systems' Signalling & Power Supply division realised the electrification of Hall 25 in Haarlem. This project consisted of designing, delivering, installing and commissioning five movable 1,500Vdc catenary systems in the traction workshop in Haarlem. Additionally, Strukton Systems provided the link-up to the ProRail traction network and took care of all the necessary safety measures for these systems in the workshop.

Based on a functional schedule of requirements compiled jointly with NedTrain, the design basis and detailed designs were drafted. Working from the detailed design, Strukton Systems compiled order specifications, ordered materials and constructed the system.

Following extensive testing, the system was taken into operation and transferred. In the run-up to the handover, Strukton trained NedTrain staff members to work with the 1,500Vdc system.

In cooperation with the supplier, Fürrer & Frey, Strukton Systems specially developed the five movable 25-metre catenary system strips for the project.
