Banedanmark has awarded a joint venture of Strukton Rail and Aarsleff the contract for 38 kilometres of track renewal on the Bramming - Tønder railway line along the coast in the South-West of Denmark.
The contract involves the ballast cleaning and renewal of track, the renewal of 13 switches, and the restoration of stations, viaducts and bridges. Strukton will take care of the track renewal and ballast cleansing and will be working with Dutch and Swedish machines. The work will start in June 2011 and will be completed in the middle of August 2011.
The 64 kilometre long single-track railway line connects the cities of Bramming and Tönder. The railway manager of this line is Banedanmark. The train operator on this line is Arriva Skandinavien A/S.
