Track renewal equipment

Strukton Rail deploys track renewal equipment for laying and overhauling sleepers and rails.

P95 track renewal train

The use of track renewal train allows the sleepers and rails to be replaced in one working process. It is also possible to replace the sleepers alone. The new sleepers are delivered and the old ones removed by one or two gantry cranes. These gantry cranes carry 30 sleepers at a time and travel over special sleeper wagons. The machine can process wooden, concrete and steel sleepers.

Sleeper train 1

This sleeper train was originally used in combination with the P90 Matisa (Strukton Rail's renewal train 1). The sleeper wagons can also be used in combination with the Matisa P95 Matisa (Strukton Rail's renewal train 2), in which case the cranes and crain rail of this machine must be modified. This takes approximately one day.

The gantry cranes of the renewal trains run along rail tracks with a railway gauge of 2930 mm, which are mounted to the wagons.

54 sleepers can be stacked in 3 levels on the wagons.

The wagons can also be used for other purposes if desired, e.g. for transporting track sections.

Sleeper train 2

This sleeper train is used in combination with the P95 Matisa, Strukton Rail's renewal train 2. The gantry cranes of the renewal train run along rail tracks with a railway gauge of 2806 mm, which are mounted to the wagons.

60 Sleepers can be stacked on the wagons, in packets of 30 pieces each, in 3 levels high. This enables the sleeper train to transport 180 NS90 sleepers per wagon.

The wagons can also be used for other purposes if desired, e.g. for transporting rail sections.

PTH-350 gantry cranes

The PTH-350 gantry cranes always operate in tandem. They are used for removing or laying rail sections of approximately 30 metres, and operate from an auxiliary track. The gantry cranes can also be fitted with a spreader beam for laying out sleepers. The gantry cranes have hydraulic grips for handling the rail sections. They are transported on a special wagon, from which they unload themselves onto the auxiliary track.
