Strukton Rail has developed a Dynamic Passenger Information (DPI) on all stops, hubs and termini of the entire RET Rotterdam metro and fast tram networks. For this project, 150 multi-line platform displays and 100 single displays were installed on platforms and at stops. Nuisance to passengers was kept to a minimum through phased implementation.

Information

The real-time waiting time for the underground train is shown at each tram stop and platform display. Changes in journey times, for example due to delays, are registered and compared with the timetables. The new, actual departure times are calculated and the forecast departure times are passed on to all remaining stopping points, and shown on the display(s).
