Measurements

The introduction of 25 kV/50Hz power supply on the HSL-South and Betuwe route lead to all kinds of uncertainties. The influence on the existing 1500 V network was difficult to calculate. The system developed by Strukton permanently measures interference currents at 12 locations.

Monitoring

The system consists of a measuring unit developed by DeltaRail. This unit passes on measurement data to a central location whenever the alarm value is exceeded. The data are passed on via Strukton's POSS online monitoring system. In this way, automatic monitoring is guaranteed to ensure that the interference currents remain within acceptable limits.
